“ Situated in the heart of Haight Ashbury, the 60s counter-culture hangs on by a thread, in places like this. A coffeeshop with Starbucks baiting signage, though sympathetic with their pricing policy, brings a hippy vibe to this evocative corner of San Francisco. It's spacious, slightly grubby and quiet. WiFi is free, unprotected and fast. There are loads of tables and the coffee is fine. At least 50% of the patrons were on their laptops when I visited one Saturday lunchtime in October. ”
